Our Victorian Bed & Breakfast
While the feel of the house is “Out West” Victorian charm, the late-1800s French antiques throughout the house will make you feel like royalty. And that is our intent as well. All you have to do is make yourselves at home.
In your room you will find: fresh flowers; extra pillows; a fan; a hair dryer; an iron and ironing board; healing bath oils(in Song Catcher and Star Gazer) and Rosemary, Cedar and Thyme glycerin soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, a radio alarm clock/CD player to create just the right ambience for the perfect bath (in Song Catcher and Star Gazer) or fireside chat (in Stone Cutter). Or perhaps you’ll have a romantic “party for two” at your bistro table overlooking the rooftops (in Star Gazer and Song Catcher).
To help make your stay as comfy and cozy as possible, you’ll find luxurious embroidered robes in your room, great for that late-night foray to the kitchen.
For our guests who need to be “in touch,” high-speed wireless internet is available throughout the house.
The Arizona Daily Sun is delivered to our doorstep each morning. There is nothing better than reading a small-town newspaper to truly get away, take you back and still keep you in touch with the world.
Your morning coffee, afternoon tea or evening aperitif can be enjoyed in the parlor, an elegant yet comfortable “living” room boasting one of the many beautiful and historic pressed-tin ceilings in the house. Here you can snuggle into the velvet couch and be mesmerized by the fire in the volcanic rock fireplace in the foyer. Or retreat into one of the books from our eclectic library. Maybe you’ll just recline in the window seat and watch the world go by.
You’ll not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy stargazing on the back deck. Flagstaff is the world’s first International Dark Sky City, which promotes not only the work at Lowell Observatory, just up the hill from the England House Bed and Breakfast, but ensures some of the best stargazing.
It is our utmost desire and intent that your stay with us be as comfortable and interesting as imaginable.
